1 Overview
ytunlock.com ("we", "us", or "our") operates a sub-to-unlock platform that allows content creators to share links that require social media engagement to access. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from two distinct groups:
Creators
Registered users who generate smart links, track analytics, and receive earnings via our dashboard.
End-Users
Visitors who arrive at a creator's locked link and complete a social action to unlock it. No account needed.
By using ytunlock.com, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.
2 Data We Collect
For Creators (Registered Accounts)
- Account Information: Name, email address, username, and securely hashed passwords stored using industry-standard encryption.
- Profile Data: Social media profile links, channel IDs, or platform connections you associate with your dashboard.
- Financial Data: Withdrawal payment details (UPI ID, wallet address, PayPal email) you submit for payout requests. We do not store raw credit card numbers — all card payments are handled by third-party processors.
- Usage Data: Link creation history, analytics dashboards accessed, and settings changes — to power your reporting and improve the platform.
For End-Users (Unlocking Links)
You are never required to create an account to unlock a creator's link. However, to detect and prevent fraud, we may temporarily collect:
- Technical Data: IP address, browser user-agent string, and general device type — used strictly for fraud prevention and calculating creator analytics (views vs. unlocks).
- Interaction Data: Which action buttons were clicked (e.g. "Subscribe", "Follow") to verify completion and grant access to the destination URL.
3 How We Use Your Information
We use collected data strictly to operate, secure, and improve the ytunlock platform. Specifically:
- Deliver the core link-locking and redirect functionality to creators and their audiences.
- Generate accurate, per-link analytics (views, unlocks, conversion rates, earnings) for creator dashboards.
- Detect and prevent automated bots, click fraud, and unlock bypassing attempts.
- Process withdrawal requests and maintain correct earnings balances for creator accounts.
- Provide customer support and respond to account or data inquiries.
- Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your data to serve behavioural advertising, build marketing profiles, or share analytics with social media platforms beyond what is required for the unlock verification process.
4 Third-Party APIs & Social Networks
ytunlock allows creators to require engagement actions on external platforms — YouTube, Instagram, Telegram, Discord, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, and others. When you interact with one of these locked links, you are subject to that network's own privacy policy.
ytunlock acts only as a verification bridge — we redirect users to the social platform and verify the action was completed. We do not scrape, harvest, or permanently store any data from your social media accounts.
5 Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the limited circumstances below:
Service Providers
Hosting, CDN, and infrastructure providers (e.g. Cloudflare) that are necessary to run the platform securely.
Legal Requirements
When required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose the minimum necessary data.
Fraud Prevention
To investigate abuse, protect creator earnings, or enforce our Terms of Service against bad actors.
Aggregate Analytics
Generic, non-identifiable, aggregated statistics may be used internally to improve platform features.
6 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
ytunlock uses cookies and similar session-based technologies to operate the platform securely. We use the minimum necessary — no advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking.
- Session Cookies: Keep creators authenticated in their dashboard across page loads. These expire when you close your browser or log out.
- Security / Unlock Cookies: Temporarily track an end-user's progress through a locked link to prevent duplicate fraudulent unlocks. These are short-lived and contain no personal identity.
- Verification Cookies: Store your bot-verification (math challenge) answer during signup to prevent automated account creation.
You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; however the link-unlocking process and creator dashboard will not function correctly without session cookies enabled.
7 Data Security & Retention
We implement multiple layers of security to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:
- SSL/TLS encryption on all connections between your browser and our servers.
- Prepared SQL statements (parameterised queries) to prevent SQL injection attacks.
- Password hashing using industry-standard algorithms — plaintext passwords are never stored.
- IP rate limiting to prevent brute-force attacks on creator accounts.
We retain creator account data for as long as your account remains active. End-user analytic data (IP associations with link visits) is routinely anonymised or purged on a rolling basis. You can request deletion of your account at any time — see Section 8.
8 Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR in the EU and CCPA in California), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Creators can delete their account directly from the dashboard settings. End-users who wish to inquire about or request deletion of any held data should contact us using the details in Section 9.
9 Contact Us
